Misdemeanor Diversion - CAP

Reduce Caseload

Prosecutors decide whether to operate CAP pre- or post-filing of charges for a variety of crimes, including:
• Suspended driver’s license violations
• Possession of controlled substances
• Shoplifting
• And other property and quality-of-life offenses

Prosecutors using CAP benefit from a reduction in caseload upwards of 25%.

Increase Accountability

Prosecutors maintain control over CAP requirements, assigning defendants to complete some combination of the following:

  • Counseling
  • Restitution
  • Driver’s license reinstatement
  • Drug and/or alcohol testing
  • Community service

CorrectiveSolutions facilitates the completion of each Program requirement, and shares regular case updates with the Prosecutor’s office. Request additional information.
